CHAPTER LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Board roles typically require a minimum of ten hours per month of time commitment to respond to emails, attend board meetings, and advance chapter initiatives.  Committee involvement can be as little as a few hours a month; every hour helps!

An association is only as strong as the volunteers who help lead it!  We encourage you to consider taking a leadership role in LVC-SHRM so that we can continue to serve the HR and Business Professionals in our community.  Please see the summary for each position below or click on the title for the full description.

Executive Board

Basic qualifications, must have previously served in at least two chair positions and be in good standing with both local and national memberships.  Two year terms:

President:           This Executive board position has direct supervision over the Workforce                                      Readiness Chair and the Legislative Representative Chair and direct                                             oversight of the Board of Directors.

President Elect:    The Executive Board position has direct supervision over the College                                          Relations Chair and the Programs Chair.

VP Membership:   This Executive Board position has direct supervision over the Web Master                                    Chair and the Communications Chair.

Treasurer:            This Executive Board position has direct supervision over the SHRM                                             Foundation Chair.  This position is also expected to participate in all                                            Board meetings, monthly membership meetings, and special events. 

Secretary:             This Executive Board position is expected to participate in all Board                                            meetings.

Must be local members and SHRM national members. One year terms:
